Thomas The Train is built on a class of locomotives E2 O-6-0T locomotives that were built for the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway in the years 1913 and 1916. The character of Thomas was first introduced as the Railway Series and then it came out as the television series, which was widely admired by the children throughout the world. Thomas The Train as depicted in the Railways Series has shown to be a character who demands more respect and that when he is not getting the respect to that level, it makes him very much annoyed. The other characters in Thomas The Train are Percy and Toby, as well as Annie and Clarabel. Percy and Toby are always the ones who stand against Thomas and Annie and Clarabel are the ones who reprimand Thomas. In the early television series of Thomas The Train, the personality of Thomas has remained the same as the Railway Series where he wanted greater respect, but later onwards the character of Thomas was modified where he became more kind to other engines and is always quick to respond to his friends who are in need. Since he is always wanting to help other friends, he has been into a lot of adventures because of this. Thomas The Train has gained a lot of popularity over time and it has gained a great acceptance among children. Now Thomas The Train has made to the world of toys and is available in about five different categories of trains and tracks. There are also present the electric model railways and lego engines and toys. Along with that, Thomas The Train is available in DVDs, games, puzzles, stationery, clothing and prints on a lot of household items. It would not be wrong to say that Thomas The Train is a role model for the children throughout the world.
